CAF has an Internship Program that annually provides a select group of graduate and undergraduate students a professional development opportunity through a unique learning experience in a stimulating and enriching environment at a first-class multilateral financial institution, acquiring in-depth knowledge about CAF’s projects and activities in various academic areas.

The program is designed to recruit dynamic students who are highly skilled and motivated, with knowledge in the activities associated with CAF's work. While developing their activities, the interns will have a tutor who is responsible for helping them complete their work, as well as providing professional coaching and guidance. The tutor will also help interns to access needed resources and supplies to complete their internship.

The number of openings is very limited and selection will basically depend on the type of project that constitutes the need for an intern. To apply for the program, candidates must be pursuing studies in finance, economics, administration, development studies, or other areas related to CAF’s activities, and must also have completed at least half of their coursework with a grade point average in the upper third of their class. Additionally, an intermediate level of English language proficiency is essential.

The internships run a minimum of four weeks, up to a maximum of 12 weeks. CAF provides a stipend to cover travel and living expenses, comparable with the best market practices in the area.
