CAF works with the public and private sectors in its shareholder countries, providing various products and services to a broad customer base consisting of the governments of its shareholder countries, public and private companies and financial institutions, based on a thorough understanding of the needs of the region. Depending on the position, employees may travel within the Andean region, throughout South America, the United States, and parts of the European Union.

CAF’s compensation and benefits policy aims to:

New employees will receive a precise orientation on the Institution (mission, vision, objectives, organization, business, etc.), and a clear definition of the rights and obligations of the individuals that work herein. The orientation will also cover specific functions for which the individual was hired.

Generally, the organization's development of human resources will involve all areas of professional development connected to Staff duties and responsibilities. However, priority will be given to provide additional training to employees who need it to address the growing changes that the Institution is experiencing.
