Expression of interest for regional climate change action plans in Chile
CAF—development bank of Latin America—is inviting interested companies to submit their expression of interest to perform one of the following two studies: (1) Development of regional climate change action plans in the regions of Atacama and O’Higgins, (2) development of regional climate change action plans in Los Ríos and Los Lagos regions
As part of the Readiness Programs of the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Chilean government has requested funds to focus on strengthening the nation and supporting the implementation of the objectives of axis 4 of the National Climate Change Plan of Action (PANCC 2017-2022). The purpose of the request is to conduct experiments on and promote the implementation of a planning methodology at sub-national level, through pilot programs in the regions of Atacama and O’Higgins, such as Los Ríos and Los Lagos.
As an implementing partner of this GCF readiness program, CAF seeks to define two shortlists of consulting forms that are duly qualified and have the necessary expertise to carry out one of these two studies, which should strengthen the planning processes of action plans for mitigation and adaptation to climate change at the sub-national level, in the context of a strategic vision of low carbon and climate resilient long-term development.
Applicants may include corporations with proven experience in development issues related to the objective of this call. Interested consulting firms may also partner with other firms, as a consortium or a temporary partnership.
