As part our continuing support in technological innovation to Panamanian institutions, which have benefited from the CAF-SENACYT and previous projects, CAF has partnered with the Incubator of Patents and Technologies—Incubba of EIA University, to design the “Paths to Innovation” workshops, which aim to allow an accelerated transition from product to results by generating successful paths towards readiness capabilities and transfer of technologies in institutions to maximize the yields of conceptualized technologies and leave an installed capacity that allows participants to continue to develop disruptive technologies.

The activity targets groups from companies, universities, research centers or associations who have filed technology patents via the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT). Priority will be given to entities that have previously participated in intensive CAF workshops for accelerated patent development.

Nominations must be made by corporations, upon meeting the requirements and submitting the documentation specified in the Paths to Innovation workshop notice, before March 1, 2019.

  • Application deadline: March 1, 2019
  • Announcement of results of the selection process: April 1, 2019.
  • Workshop dates: April 8-12, 2019.
