The 100K Strong Innovation Fund is a public-private collaboration between the US Department of State's Office of Western Hemisphere Affairs, US embassies, and Partners of the Americas in collaboration with the sectors private, public, and academics in the region to harness the power of education, expanding inclusive exchange programs between the US and Latin America and the Caribbean.

To date, a total of 282 Innovation Fund grants have been awarded to teams from 550 higher education institutions in 25 countries and 49 US states.

This is the first call within the framework of the Climate Action Alliance (100K CLIMA) presented in June 2022 by the President of the United States, Joe Biden, which CAF has decided to support as part of its efforts to become the Green Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.

Teams from US colleges and universities are invited to partner with regional educational institutions from Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay. The initiative will allow expanding access to exchange and training programs focused on inclusion and environmental sustainability, stimulating the generation of collaborative projects on climate resilience, energy transition, and renewable energy.
