Following UNESCO´s leadership, the world is trying to demonstrate the causality of sport in the sustainable development goals. CAF -development bank of Latin America- has become the most active multilateral ally in this agenda after officially becoming part of the Coalition for Sustainable Development through Sport (S4D).

Within the framework of the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games, we are creating a pilot with a methodology never before developed for people with disabilities. We have the eyes of the sports world upon us and in this session we are going to consolidate our leadership.

This meeting is part of a series of events that we will be hosting within the commemoration of our 10 years as Permanent Observer in the United Nations, in which we will raise Latin America and the Caribbean´s voice to strengthen our region´s role as a key actor in the discussion of the main challenges and opportunities within the most important multilateral space in the world.
