watch in spanish

How prosperous are our coffee communities in Latin America and the Caribbean? How do they connect their National Sustainability Plans with the Sustainable Development Goals, ODS? Find the answers in this space.

Promoting actions for the prosperity of coffee communities in Latin America and the Caribbean through the National Sustainability Plans framed in the Sustainable Development Goals, ODS, is the purpose of this conference to be held during our event "Many voices, one region : Latin America and the Caribbean working together on the 2030 Agenda for sustainable development", at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations.

In this debate, proceed of the alliance with the World Forum of Coffee Producers, we will talk about the scope of the study Prosperity of Coffee Producers through National Coffee Sustainability Plans framed in the SDGs, developed by the Center for the Sustainable Development at Columbia University, led by Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs.

The alternatives and potential resources available to our coffee communities for the promotion of sustainable development, as well as alliances to achieve a more inclusive agricultural sector in the countries of the region, will be central topics to be discussed during the panel. Along this path, the experiences and lessons learned in Colombia from the coffee sector, under the leadership of the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia, FNC, will be essential as a roadmap.
