Launch of the 2021 IDEAL report
CAF—development bank of Latin America—invites interested parties to the launch of the 2021 Infrastructure in the Development of Latin America (IDEAL) report, entitled "Reducing service gaps: how digitalization can improve the use of infrastructure"

The 2021 IDEAL report focuses on the services provided by infrastructure with digitalization as a cross-cutting theme, prioritizing the electric energy and urban transport sectors. It analyzes recent digital developments, including the advance of smart grids in the electricity sector, and in the case of passenger transport, the development of applications for data use and planning of trips, mobility and new payment methods. It also discusses regulatory interventions, public policies and the need for investment in smart infrastructure to address service gaps, and the effects of technological progress.
