Relationship opportunities with Africa
The experience of the Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF) could help identify investment opportunities and deepen Latin American relationship with Africa for the benefit of their people.
The President of the Brazil Africa Institute (IBRAF), João Bosco Monte, and the Vice President of the Private Sector at CAF—development bank of Latin America—, Jorge Arbache, met in Lima in order to explore investment opportunities and build stronger ties between Latin America and Africa for the benefit of their people.
The meeting addressed similarities between the two organizations in their goals of promoting sustainable development and regional integration, and explored some topics of interest to forge closer links between the two continents.
“We have a long way to go to strengthen our bonds with Africa and having strategic partners such as the IBRAF allows us to move forward in identifying opportunities for investment and cooperation between the public and private sectors,” said Jorge Arbache.
In addition, João Bosco Monte discussed how the relationship with CAF has become stronger. “Since the agreement signed between the parties in 2016, we have made a joint effort to build stronger ties between Latin America and Africa.”

The Annual CAF Conference will center on security in the Americas
Luis Almagro, Secretary General of the OAS, Rebecca BillChavez, President & CEO of the Inter-American Dialogue, and Sergio Díaz-Granados, Executive President of CAF, announced that the upcoming CAF Conference, set for September 5 in Washington DC, will specifically address security issues in Latin America and the Caribbean. Additionally, a preparatory event is scheduled during the OAS General Assembly from June 26 to 28, 2024, in Paraguay.
CAF open calls to create the image of the ALC Region Brand
The selected creatives and publicists will be invited to participate in a bootcamp to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where they will compete for a prize of USD 20,000 and will have the opportunity to participate in mentoring sessions by brand development experts in the region. Applications can be made from April 4 to 26.
