CAF committed to sustainable development in Panama
Promoting the well-being of the population and investments to support the nation’s sustainable growth were the main topics discussed at the first meeting between CAF executive president and the President of Panama, and then with the Minister of Economy and Finance.
As a way to reiterate the commitment of CAF— development bank of Latin America—to boosting Panama’s sustainable development and productivity, the executive president of CAF, Luis Carranza Ugarte, met with the President of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen, at Palacio de las Garzas.
During the meeting, President Carranza highlighted CAF’s strong relationship with Panama and the opportunities to explore joint actions for the benefit of the population through funding, technical cooperation and generation of knowledge in line with the government’s priorities and CAF’s comprehensive strategy for sustainable development and regional integration.
On his visit to Panama, the CAF executive president also met with the Minister of Economy and Finance, Héctor Alexander, where they exchanged ideas and discussed the initiatives Panama will undertake to promote growth and competitiveness in the coming years, for the purpose of identifying future projects and alliances in which both institutions can participate.

CAF open calls to create the image of the ALC Region Brand
The selected creatives and publicists will be invited to participate in a bootcamp to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where they will compete for a prize of USD 20,000 and will have the opportunity to participate in mentoring sessions by brand development experts in the region. Applications can be made from April 4 to 26.
CAF & MCDF to lift air connectivity in Latin America and the Caribbean
CAF established a partnership with MCDF where the main deliverable will be a pilot project concept paper, that is expected to last 3 months from inception and with an estimated budget of USD 157,500.
