As part of his visit to Santiago to participate in the presidential inauguration ceremony, the executive president ofCAF, Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, Sergio Díaz-Granados, held a bilateral meeting with President-elect José Antonio Kast, who was accompanied by the foreign minister-designate, Francisco Perez Mackenna. The meeting was an opportunity to express CAF's institutional support to the new government and to jointly outline areas in which CAF will contribute to Chile's development priorities in the coming years.

This track record reflects the bank's conviction that Chile's sustainable development is built with and from the productive sector.

"Chile is a country that the region admires. Today, with a new government committed to the growth and welfare of its people, we want to reaffirm that CAF will be wherever Chile needs us. We have the vocation, experience and capacity to accompany this process with the same conviction with which we have accompanied the region for more than five decades," said Sergio Díaz-Granados, CAF's executive president.

CAF reaffirms today its willingness to be a long-term ally for Chile.
