Railway Dialogues 2025 in Spain: Connecting Latin America and Europe for sustainable mobility
CAF – Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, in collaboration with Ingeniería y Economía del Transporte (INECO) and Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC), invites you to participate in the third edition of the Railway Dialogues, a high-level event focused on the railway sector, whose objective is to strengthen alliances between Latin America and Spain. This meeting is a continuation of the dialogues held in Santiago, Chile, in 2024.

The third edition of the Railway Dialogues: Rails towards a sustainable future will take place on 7 October in Barcelona, Spain, with the aim of promoting a practical exchange on railway development between Spain and the Americas. The event will bring together governments, operating companies, financial institutions, multilateral organisations and technical actors from the sector.
With this edition, we reaffirm our commitment to promoting railways as the backbone of more efficient, sustainable and connected mobility in the region, accompanying the reactivation of rail transport in Latin America and the Caribbean.
📍 Programme
- First day – Hospital Sant Pau, Barcelona
Conferences on railway operational management and strategic financing, with the participation of authorities and experts from Europe and Latin America. - Second day – Closed technical visits in Catalonia
Tours of key railway management and intermodal logistics projects, organised by CAF, FGC and Ineco, which will allow participants to see strategic initiatives in the sector first-hand.
