Its objective is to strengthen infrastructure development for the physical and functional integration of Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as to promote processes that facilitate the integration of goods, services, tourism, and people. It also spearheads the promotion of a sustainable mobility and fair energy transition agenda and fosters public-private partnerships. It also promotes the deployment of digital and data infrastructure and the harnessing of emerging technologies, intending to enable a more robust and inclusive regional digital market.
Biography of Angel Cárdenas

Ángel Cárdenas
He is an economist and administrator. He holds master's degrees in Public Management, Territorial Planning and Environmental Management, Business Administration, and Political Science. He is a fellow of the Eisenhower Fellowships, where he studied public policy issues related to infrastructure planning and development and their impact on national governance and development.
Cárdenas Sosa has more than 20 years of experience in multilateral banking and has held roles such as Secretary General, Auditor General, and Director of Infrastructure and Energy projects.
He has also taught undergraduate and graduate courses at universities in Argentina, Spain, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
