Sustainable Territorial Development Management
Its main objective is strengthening territorial management and improve access to adequate housing. It also focuses its efforts on optimizing the management of water resources and urban solid waste, as well as addressing the challenges associated with migration processes and enhancing the role of creative economies as a driver of social inclusion and local development in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Biography of Julián Suárez

Julián Suárez
He joined CAF more than 15 years ago. He served as Governor of the World Water Council for four years until December 2022. Before joining CAF, he was a consultant on development financing, including positions in the then-IDB Sustainable Development Department. In Argentina, he was an Economist at the Institute for Studies on Argentine and Latin American Reality (IERAL) of the Mediterranean Foundation; Head of Economic Research at the Institute of Economics of the Council of Professionals in Economic Sciences of Córdoba; Director of Finance at the State Secretariat for Tourism and Sports of the Government of the Province of San Luis; and Chief of Staff at the Ministry of Health of the same province.
He holds a degree in Economics, is a Fulbright scholar, and holds a Master's in Business Administration (MBA), a Specialization in Corporate Finance, and a Diploma in Infrastructure Finance. In academia, he has taught undergraduate and graduate courses at various universities.
