WE SEEK THE REGION BRAND FOR LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN
At CAF, we invited designers, creatives, and advertisers to apply in our call and thus promote a unified identity of the region, which highlights our uniqueness, the unmatched opportunities for tourism and investments, and its projection as a solution region. We received more than 500 applications and the jury selected 5 teams that traveled to Sao Paulo-Brazil to our bootcamp to develop the Latin American and Caribbean Region Brand. This May 15 we will know the winning proposal.

FREQUENT QUESTIONS ABOUT THE CALL
1. What is the prize for the winning team?
The winning team will be awarded a sum of twenty thousand dollars (USD 20,000), payable within sixty (60) days after the announcement of the winners.
2. When and where will the bootcamp take place?
The bootcamp will take place on site in the city of Sao Paulo - Brazil from May 12 to May 15, 2024.
3. Do I have to cover my travel expenses to the bootcamp?
Air tickets for traveling to Sao Paulo, as well as lodging and daily expenses for the 5 selected teams, will be covered by the contest organizers.
4. How many people from the group can attend the bootcamp?
The Regional Brand call for entries will accept submissions that can be made up of one person or teams of up to 5 individuals.
Teams made up of more than two people have the option to send a maximum of 2 delegates to the bootcamp.
5. What kind of deliverables are expected at the bootcamp?
The 5 selected teams are expected to conceptualize and develop the logo, slogan, as well as at least 5 referential pieces where the proposal is applied.
6. What are the evaluation criteria for the Regional Brand proposals?
To ensure impartiality and transparency in the evaluation method, the Jury will have the following criteria for assessing proposals:
Strategic Thinking
Development and relevance of the strategic proposal, understanding the coherence of what will be conveyed to the world.
Origin Denomination, identification with the region
It should represent the essence, geographical, ethnic, and cultural diversity of the region, managing to unify the most outstanding qualities of Latin America and the Caribbean in the same graphic language, represented through the brand created.
Adaptability, flexibility, and versatility
Originality, clarity in expressing main ideas, as well as composition and applicability to different visual systems in the implementation of the brand region system will be valued.
7. What is the goal of this of this initiative?
This initiative aims to select the 5 most talented applicant teams from the region among designers, creatives, advertisers, and/or related careers to participate in a bootcamp where the image of the Latin America and Caribbean Regional Brand (ALC) will be created, which will take place in the city of Sao Paulo, Brazil between May 12 and May 15, 2024.
*Applications can be made up of one person or teams of up to 5 individuals.
8. What are the requirements to participate?
Participants must define how their team will be composed. They can range from 1 to a maximum of 5 participants in total. Afterwards, they must register on the website and submit the required documentation.
Among the enabling requirements are: being nationals of Latin America and the Caribbean, and not having been public officials or suppliers of CAF in the previous year.
