The main mission of the Vice President of Finance is to ensure the continuity of CAF’s operations, even in situations of adversity or crisis, providing uninterrupted funds for loan disbursements and for the timely payment of obligations. Other roles include attracting and efficiently managing financial resources obtained from various sources, from a competitive, flexible and innovative approach.
biography
Since joining CAF over 28 years ago, Gabriel Felpeto has successfully held the positions of Senior Executive under the Vice President of Finance, Director of Financial Policies and International Issues and Vice President of Finance.
Before joining CAF, his experience includes notable stints at Banco Unión in Caracas, Venezuela—his country of origin—where he was Manager of Asset and Liability Management, and as Vice President of Finance. He also held the position of Project Engineer at Ingeniería Avellán.
Gabriel has a solid academic background and extensive professional experience of more than 30 years. He graduated as a Mechanical Engineer from Universidad Simón Bolívar in Caracas, and holds a Master’s Degree in Administration, specialized in Finance, from the Institute of Higher Studies in Administration (IESA), Caracas.
