CAF and EU support sports as a development tool in Caracas

Rafael Dochao Moreno, head of the European Union Delegation, extends an invitation to the fifth edition of the race against violence against women, which already has 2,500 runners signed up, who will participate in the 10K race and a 5K walk.

This edition features some novelties, such as the route, this time in the Libertador Municipality, in an attempt to reclaim spaces and provide opportunities for citizens to enjoy the city in a different context.

Senior advisor to the Corporate Vice President of Strategic Programming María Soledad Barrera, together with Secretary General Alejandra Claros, participated in this press conference where she stressed that CAF’s support is aligned with our pillars: gender equality, inclusion and sports as a social development tool. She also applauded the development of these sports initiatives “supported by public policies, which contribute to work against violence against women.”

CAF is committed to a continued effort to reinforce strategic partnership with different institutions to strengthen its role as a promoter of initiatives and activities that foster gender inclusion and empower women in Latin American and Caribbean society.
