CAF—development bank of Latin America—and the Center for the Implementation of Public Policies for Equity and Growth (CIPPEC) signed a Non-Reimbursable Technical Cooperation Agreement to reinforce collaboration and build institutional capacities in Argentina. Under the agreement, the bank will contribute USD 97,000 to the agency, which can use it for activities aimed at promoting public policies for development with equity. The signing ceremony was led by CAF’s Corporate Vice President for Strategic Programming Christian Asinelli.

“With this initiative, CAF reiterates its commitment to the development and enhancement of public management capacities in Latin American countries, with a view to improving the institutional quality and standard of living of all people of the region,” said Patricia Alborta, CAF representative in Argentina.

The initiatives set out in the agreement include the preparation of diagnoses, analyses and proposals for cross-cutting reforms for the implementation of strategic policies. The agreement comes in the context of #40D, CIPPEC’s participatory and intergenerational public dialogue initiative to celebrate 40 years of Argentine democracy and reflect on the future of the nation and the region.

“Thanks to this support from CAF, at CIPPEC we will be able to advance in concrete proposals to make the next 40 years of democracy in Argentina full of development and equity,” said Gala Díaz Langou, executive director at CIPPEC.
